Like a river visit 12/04/10

Today me and Casey went into Rob at like a river. We started off by talking about our lifeline work that we sent in to the roses competition. We found out about what we were up against and what the judges were looking for. We also found out why the winning piece won.

After this we started talking about self promo. and book wrappers. Something that will make us stand out from the rest.

options Rob gave us including making our boxes. This could be done by silkscreen.

Rob told us different things that they had been sent in the post ad how these made an impact.

A man who's last name was Sargent had his portfolio layout like an army file.

a women who's last name was brown did a card in a brownie theme and a lady who's last name was Shepard sent in a sheep dog.

Little geasture like this make you stand out from the rest.

We have been discussing ways me and Casey could do this. My initials Spell EG which is an example. Rob suggested me using this through out my book for my brief and solution.

Also looking at ways to play with my last name. People getting it wrong.. and other links such as sending a broken plate with my c.v.

WE are going in next week to carry on with this progress.

 They do everything from creative. illustrations and copy writing. They have done work for alton towers, BT and storm london, just to name a few.

IAS b2b marketing

Isa b2b marketing are a company based in Bollington Cheshire. They do brand planning,  Channel planning, Creative, Digital and PR.

I like the work they did for Veolia and environmental services.

The images used look like photomontages of animals and the environment. At a closer look the little pictures are objects that can be recycled that harm the environment.

The chase

The chase is based in London, Manchester and Preston. They work on stationary, logos ,branding, packaging and many more. I like the poster shown above. I found this on there website. It was for MMU's degree show. I like how you automatically think it says something else. I also like there cock a doodle book an how they have binded the book.

McCann Erickson

McCann Erickson is a creative company based in London and Manchester. They are a big company they work in PR, Creative, digital and social media.  While I looked through there website I came across a piece of print work that I really liked.

This is an advertisement for drink driving. I know from experience that the club entry stamps take a log time to wear off and you often see people including me with them on there hand still the next day. I like how they have used this to relate to alcohol wearing off.

The Leith Agency

Leith is a design agency based in Edinburgh. I like there website. It's layout is like a seaside resort.They have worked for clients such as Irn Bru, Grolsch, Scot rail and Coors light.

Alot of there work is moving image and film based. I like this print poster for Namarrie. I like how subtle it is and does exactly what it says on the tin.
